California just signed the bill authorizing $100m investment in primary care capacity building that will address the state’s projected health workforce needs by 2030 as well as the state’s lack of diversity in its physicians. The advocacy for the bill was supported by a statewide study sponsored by CPCA and authored by CHWA co-directors Jeff Oxendine and Kevin Barnett.
