The California Health Workforce Alliance is a public-private partnership dedicated to leadership of coordinated, systematic and transformational strategies to meet California’s emerging health workforce needs and enhance the health and economic vitality of our increasingly diverse communities.
CHWA serves as a neutral, intersectoral point of convergence among a broad spectrum of public and private stakeholders to align, connect and strengthen statewide, regional and member health workforce initiatives.
CHWA serves as the ongoing health workforce convener, connector and broker among health employers, higher education, regional workforce coalitions, workforce investment boards, government agencies, associations, foundations, business, labor, consumers and advocates.
CHWA supports priority workforce needs in specific health sectors and strengthens policy, programmatic and systems solutions that apply to multiple professions and sectors.
